In todays world, technology has made it possible to watch movies, videos or presentations on large screens. However, such gadgets can be expensive and often not easily accessible. What if we told you that you could create your very own projector using basic items found at home, such as a cereal box? Yes, it is possible!
Here are the steps to creating your very own projector with a cereal box.
Step 1: Materials required
You will need a cereal box, a magnifying glass, a ruler, a cutter, cellotape, a black marker, a white sheet of paper, and any smartphone or tablet device.
Step 2: Creating a projector lens
Take a magnifying glass and attach it to one end of the cereal box using cellotape. Make sure that it sticks firmly and is as centered as possible.
Step 3: Cutting the cereal box
Cut off one side of the cereal box using a cutter. This will form the projectors stand. On the opposite side, measure and cut out a rectangular shape that is slightly smaller than the size of your device screen.
Step 4: Attaching the smartphone
Place your smartphone or tablet device against the open side of the box and adjust it until it is in the correct angle. You can support the phone using cellotape or one of the other sides of the box.
Step 5: Creating the projection screen
Take your white sheet of paper and stick it to the side opposite the lens. You can use cellotape to attach the paper and ensure it is stretched flat.
Step 6: Projection time
Turn off the lights and turn on the screen of your smartphone or tablet. Place the projector box on a flat surface, angling it slightly upwards. Adjust the focus of the lens by moving the magnifying glass until the image is sharp and clear. Using the marker, outline the shape of the projected image on the projection screen.
