Having a cable box, a TV, and a DVD player can be a great setup for all your entertainment needs. But if you dont know how to connect them properly, it can be frustrating and confusing. In this article, well walk you through the steps to connect them all together.
Step 1: Connecting your cable box to your TV
The first step is to connect your cable box to your TV. There are two ways to do this: through an HDMI cable or through a coaxial cable. If your cable box and TV both have HDMI ports, use an HDMI cable to connect them. If not, use a coaxial cable.
To connect them using an HDMI cable, plug one end of the cable into the HDMI port on the back of your cable box and the other end into the HDMI port on your TV. Make sure you select the correct input on your TV to view your cable programming.
If you are using a coaxial cable, connect one end of the cable to the "out" port on your cable box and the other end to the "in" port on your TV. Again, make sure you select the correct input on your TV to view your cable programming.
Step 2: Connecting your DVD player to your TV

To connect them using an HDMI cable, plug one end of the cable into the HDMI port on the back of your DVD player and the other end into the HDMI port on your TV. Make sure you select the correct input on your TV to view your DVD.
If you are using a coaxial cable, connect one end to the "out" port on your DVD player and the other end to the "in" port on your TV. Once again, make sure you select the correct input on your TV to view your DVD.
