How to Make a Pinhole Projector with a Cereal Box: An Easy Guide for Safe Eclipse Viewing

First, gather the materials youll need. Youll need a cereal box, aluminum foil, a pin, tape, scissors, and white paper. Cut off one side of the cereal box and cover the opening with aluminum foil, taping it down securely. Use the pin to make a small hole in the center of the foil. Next, tape a piece of white paper to the inside of the other side of the box. Stand with your back to the sun and hold the box up to let light come in through the pinhole. Adjust the distance until an inverted image of the sun appears on the white paper. You can now safely view the eclipse through the pinhole without damaging your eyes.
Its important to note that you should not look through the pinhole directly at the sun. That can still damage your eyes. Also, if you wear glasses, keep them on while using the projector.
