1. Assemble the Box: Remove the flattened U-Haul TV box from its packaging and lay it on a flat surface. There will be flaps at the bottom, back, and top of the box, which need to be folded up and secured with tape. The ends of the box with pre-cut handles need to be folded over towards the center of the box, where they will meet and form a protective barrier.
2. Secure the TV: Before placing your TV in the box, youll want to ensure that it is properly secured and protected. Wrap your TV in a protective cover, such as a blanket or bubble wrap, to prevent scratches and cracking. Once wrapped, slide the TV into the box so that it rests securely on the bottom of the box.
3. Fill in the Gaps: To ensure your TV is snug and secure during transit, youll need to fill in any gaps in the box. You can use packing material such as bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or foam sheets to fill in any gaps and prevent movement during the move.
4. Seal the Box: Once your TV is safely in the box, youll want to seal it up to prevent any movement or damage. Start by sealing the top flaps of the box with packing tape. Then, wrap tape around the box along the center seam and around the edges to ensure that there is no possibility of it opening during transit.
5. Label the Box: Finally, be sure to label the box with the contents, destination, and any other important information, such as "fragile," "handle with care," or "team lift." This will ensure that your TV is handled properly during the move and arrives at its destination safely. |
