How to Cast Your Mobile Device to an LG Smart TV
With the increasing availability of multimedia content on mobile devices, it has become more convenient to enjoy your favorite television shows and movies on the go. But what if you want to view that content on a bigger screen? There are several ways to do this, but one of the most convenient methods is to cast your mobile device to your LG smart TV.
Casting, or screen mirroring, allows you to display your smartphone or tablets screen on your TV. With LG smart TVs, you can easily cast your mobile device using either the built-in casting feature or third-party applications. Heres how you can do it.
Using LGs Built-In Casting Feature:
1. Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your LG smart TV.
2. On your TV, navigate to the Home dashboard and select the Screen Share icon.
3. Your TV will now show a list of available devices to cast to. Select your mobile device.
4. You may see a pop-up request for permission to mirror your devices screen on your TV. Tap "Allow" to grant permission.
5. Once connected, your TV will display a copy of your mobile devices screen.
Using Third-Party Apps:
If your mobile device doesnt have built-in casting features or if you prefer to use a third-party app, you can download and use one of the following:
1. Google Home: This app allows you to cast content from your mobile device, as well as control your LG smart TV and other smart home devices.
2. BubbleUPnP: This app is compatible with LG smart TVs and allows you to cast local and cloud-based content.
3. AllCast: This app supports LG smart TVs and allows you to cast content from popular streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube.
Regardless of which method you choose, casting your mobile device to your LG smart TV is a simple and convenient way to enjoy your favorite content on a bigger screen. |
