Well, there is no doubt we have seen quite an influx of many TV launches in recent times and both Xiaomi and Realme have had a major role to play in the same. Both the brands have come up with great offerings in the TV segment, and it would be quite a difficult task to choose one out of the many.
Few of the examples of TV offerings by Xiaomi and Realme are;
Realme Smart TV SLED 4K
The Realme TV has a good build, and a pretty good performance. The design and the fact that it does come with a good number of picture controls when consuming content from the built-in apps is an added bonus for Realme. It is a 4K panel with support for HDR10 but sadly it does not support Dolby Vision. Anyhow, the TV has a peak brightness of 300 nits. It also comes with standard picture presets like Standard, Vivid, Movie, game and more.
Powered by a MediaTek chipset that has a quad-core processor with four ARM Cortex A55 cores and a Mali-470 MP GPU, therefore there are no doubts over the performance aspect of the TV.
Compared to the new technology that Realme has put forward in the name of SLED, it has automatically left the other competitors behind in the race. Be it the OLED TV, or even the Flagship TV display. The backlight technology used by Realme to illuminate the display is far beyond the competition. The TV also delivers a good performance in the gaming aspect. It runs on Android 9 Pie and features a Cinematic Display that offers 4K Ultra HD resolution along with 1.7 billion colors.
Realme 55-inch Smart TV
Realme has blown everyone away with its all new backlighting technology to illuminate the display. They call it SLED. While this is the MSP of the TV, it also flaunts a few other things that are equally impressive and that plays an important part in making the TV worth the price. It is a 4K panel with support for HDR10 but sadly it does not support Dolby Vision. Anyhow, the TV has a peak brightness of 300 nits. It also comes with standard picture presets like Standard, Vivid, Movie, game and more.
The Realme SLED TV has 24W of sound output. The sound from the TV is loud and clear. You get Stock Android TV. And things get better with the support for the Google Assistant Voice Controls. The wireless connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0 and dual band Wi-Fi. At this price it’s astonishing to have the support for 5GHz WiFi networks that a lot of affordable TVs usually tend to skip. Powered by a MediaTek chipset that has a quad-core processor with four ARM Cortex A55 cores and a Mali-470 MP GPU.
Moving on to, Mi QLED TV 4K
Sporting a 55-inch Ultra-HD screen, the Android TV and PatchWall-powered Mi QLED TV 4K is also the company's most premium television series yet in the country, offering a step up over the existing LED TV range. The new television has a UHD resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and is available in only a single 55-inch size option, with support for HDR up to the Dolby Vision format.
It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek chipset with 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage. It also comes with the support for various HDR formats including HLG, HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. The TV runs Android TV 10 and is among the first major television launches to run the latest version of Android TV.
Overall, I would say any of the two would be a good choice of a TV.
